Virtual Treasure Trail
These winter school holidays join the fun at Hunter Valley Gardens!
Come and explore all the beautiful corners of the ten individually themed Gardens. There are eight kilometres of walking paths winding through 14 hectares of Gardens consisting of over 6000 trees, 600,000 shrubs and over 1 million ground cover plants, plus waterfalls, statues, murals and much more!
There will be a new sense of adventure downloading the Hunter Valley Gardens Treasure Trail app. Download it before arrival or on the day. The app will unlock GPS checkpoints that have been placed at chosen locations in each of the ten themed Gardens! If you or your team are close to the location of the GPS checkpoint your phone will react and deliver the hidden tasks that need to be completed to obtain points. There will be prizes for all children upon completion, and for the maximum number of points scored at the end of the Treasure Trail two major prizes at Mercure Resort Hunter Valley Gardens, Harrigan's Hunter Valley and Hunter Valley Gardens! So get creative with the photo challenges and complete all the questions and tasks and enjoy a full day of family fun outdoors!
Garden Opening Hours: 9am – 5pm daily
